CoD Mobile's ranked mode is a seven-tier system running from Rookie at the bottom to Legendary at the top, with five divisions within each of the lower four ranks creating a granular 23-step progression ladder before the final Legendary tier.
Understanding how points are earned, when losses deduct RP, and how the season reset works is what separates players who grind efficiently from players who wonder why they keep stagnating in the same division.
| Rank | Divisions | Total RP Range |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | 1 - 5 | 0 - 1,000 |
| Veteran | 1 - 5 | 1,001 - 2,000 |
| Elite | 1 - 5 | 2,001 - 3,000 |
| Pro | 1 - 5 | 3,001 - 4,500 |
| Master | No divisions | 4,501 - 6,000 |
| Grandmaster | No divisions | 6,001 - 8,000 |
| Legendary | No divisions | 8,001+ |
Total ranks: 7
Ranked unlock: Account Level 10
Highest rank: Legendary (8,001+ RP)
Average rank: Pro division (middle of the ladder)
The entry point. Five divisions at 200 RP each. Rookie is where new ranked players start every season after a reset, or at the bottom of fresh accounts that have just reached Level 10 and unlocked competitive play.
Losses below Elite 1 do not deduct points, which means Rookie players are completely protected from negative RP. You can lose matches here and your rank stays exactly where it is.
| Division | RP Range |
|---|---|
| Rookie 1 | 0 – 200 |
| Rookie 2 | 201 – 400 |
| Rookie 3 | 401 – 600 |
| Rookie 4 | 601 – 800 |
| Rookie 5 | 801 – 1,000 |
Five divisions, 200 RP each. Still within the loss-protection zone, losses here do not deduct RP. Veteran is where players begin to encounter more consistent gunfight awareness, basic map rotation, and regular use of equipment.
| Division | RP Range |
|---|---|
| Veteran 1 | 1,001 - 1,200 |
| Veteran 2 | 1,201 - 1,400 |
| Veteran 3 | 1,401 - 1,600 |
| Veteran 4 | 1,601 - 1,800 |
| Veteran 5 | 1,801 - 2,000 |
Five divisions, 200 RP each. Elite is the transition rank, the first four divisions (Elite 1 through 4) remain in the loss-protection zone, but Elite 1 is the threshold where the ranked system fundamentally changes.
Once you reach Elite 1, losses begin deducting points. Demotion becomes possible. The ranked system stops being a one-way escalator.
| Division | RP Range | Loss Deduction? |
|---|---|---|
| Elite 1 | 2,001 - 2,200 | ⚠️ Deduction begins here |
| Elite 2 | 2,201 - 2,400 | Yes |
| Elite 3 | 2,401 - 2,600 | Yes |
| Elite 4 | 2,601 - 2,800 | Yes |
| Elite 5 | 2,801 - 3,000 | Yes |
The Elite threshold is the most important checkpoint in CoD Mobile ranked. Players who push into Elite 1 for the first time will experience their first losses causing RP drops. This is where Ranked Shield Cards become relevant.
Five divisions, but the RP gap per division expands to 300 points (versus 200 in the earlier ranks). This makes each Pro division a longer grind than the previous tiers.
| Division | RP Range |
|---|---|
| Pro 1 | 3,001 - 3,300 |
| Pro 2 | 3,301 - 3,600 |
| Pro 3 | 3,601 - 3,900 |
| Pro 4 | 3,901 - 4,200 |
| Pro 5 | 4,201 - 4,500 |
Pro is the competitive midpoint of the CoD Mobile ladder. Above-average players find their ceiling here; below-average players stall here. The Pro range is the largest single concentration of active ranked players.
No divisions. 1,500 RP spans the entire tier. Master is where the ranked queue becomes noticeably more competitive, players here have cleared the full Pro grind and typically have consistent mechanical skills and game sense.
Point deductions remain active. Every loss costs RP. Ranked Shield Cards are worth saving for Master sessions where a losing streak could set back significant progress.
RP span: 1,500 points (the widest single-tier range below Legendary)
No divisions. 2,000 RP spans the tier. Grandmaster is the second-highest rank and represents above-average CoD Mobile players, consistent killers who have demonstrated sustained winning ability through Master.
The jump from Pro 5 (4,500 RP) to Legendary (8,001 RP) requires 3,501 net RP without any demotion. That requires either a high win rate, high match performance bonuses, or both, sustained across a significant number of matches.
RP span: 2,000 points
The highest rank in CoD Mobile. No divisions, just a single open pool of the best players on the server. Legendary players see a leaderboard position alongside their rank badge, updated in real time.
Reaching Legendary requires 8,001+ Ranked Points. There is no cap, the leaderboard ranks players by their total RP above 8,000. The top 5,000 Legendary players are a recognised tier within the rank, representing the absolute competitive pinnacle of the mobile game.
How hard is Legendary? The highest rank in the game is Legendary, which requires 8,001+ points. Points are distributed based on wins, losses, and overall match performance. The difficulty depends entirely on your skill level relative to your current rank's competition pool, Grandmaster lobbies are high quality and net RP per win may be modest.
| Rank + Division | RP Required | Cumulative RP |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Rookie 5 | 801 | 1,000 |
| Veteran 1 | 1,001 | 1,000 |
| Veteran 5 | 1,801 | 2,000 |
| Elite 1 | 2,001 | 2,000 |
| Elite 5 | 2,801 | 3,000 |
| Pro 1 | 3,001 | 3,000 |
| Pro 5 | 4,201 | 4,500 |
| Master | 4,501 | 4,500 |
| Grandmaster | 6,001 | 6,000 |
| Legendary | 8,001 | 8,000+ |
RP gains per match depend on three factors:
Below Elite 1, no deduction. You can lose freely.
At Elite 1 and above, losses deduct RP. The deduction amount scales with rank and match performance. A dominant individual performance in a losing team can reduce the RP penalty.
Ranked Shield Card: Earnable in-game through ranked rewards and events. Using one blocks point deduction for a single losing match. Save them for high-stakes sessions in Master and Grandmaster where a losing streak is most damaging.
Abandoning matches: Leaving a ranked match that is in progress results in a temporary queue ban and an RP deduction larger than a standard loss. Multiple abandonments trigger harsher penalties. Do not leave ranked matches, even losing games.
At the conclusion of every ranked season, ranks are soft-reset. You do not return to Rookie 1. The reset places you several tiers below your final season standing:
| Final Season Rank | Post-Reset Rank |
|---|---|
| Legendary | Master 1 |
| Grandmaster | Pro 1 – Pro 2 |
| Master | Veteran 2 – Veteran 4 |
| Pro | Veteran 1 |
| Elite | Rookie range |
| Veteran / Rookie | Rookie range |
What this means practically: The higher your final season rank, the higher you restart the following season, but always below your peak. A Legendary player who finishes the season at 9,000 RP doesn't grind from Rookie again; they start at Master 1 and push back up.
This reset structure keeps the ranked ecosystem active across the entire season rather than having most competitive players reach their peak by the third week and stop playing.
CoD Mobile has two separate ranked systems:
Ranked Multiplayer: The primary ranked mode featuring game types including Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Domination. The seven-tier system above applies here.
Ranked Battle Royale: A separate RP ladder specifically for the battle royale mode. The rank tiers are the same (Rookie through Legendary) but RP is earned independently, your BR rank and MP rank are tracked separately.
Progress in one mode does not affect the other. A Legendary Multiplayer rank and a Pro Battle Royale rank can coexist on the same account.
| Rank | Skill Level |
|---|---|
| Rookie – Veteran | Developing fundamentals, aim, map awareness, basic equipment use |
| Elite | Consistent gunfights, starting to use utility effectively |
| Pro – Master | Competitive average, most active ranked players |
| Grandmaster | Above average, consistent mechanics, strategic game sense |
| Legendary | Top tier, high win rate, elite mechanical skill |
| Top 5,000 Legendary | Among the best active players in the region |
The best rank is Legendary, but you can go for the top 5,000 in Legendary as well. The lowest rank is Rookie 1.
